About Spring Midwives

Our Mission

Spring Midwives is a registered non-profit

managed by a board of birth profesionals.

We operate a private midwifery practice

in southern New Brunswick. We aim to grow into a large collaborative practice offering perinatal, homebirth, infant health, and sexual & reproductive health services across New Brunswick.

our story

Spring Midwives as a non-profit was founded in 2025 by Midwife Jasmine Graham because she recognized the need for an autonomous and independent model of Midwifery in NB.

Our private practice opened in July of 2026 offering prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care to families across Southern NB.

JASMINE GRAHAM RM BA BHSc

I was born in here in Fredericton and raised in small-town Ontario and NB. My exposure to midwifery began when I witnessed my siblings' home births at age 3 and 7. I got a BA at St. FX before realizing Midwifery was my calling. I earned an Honours BHSc in Midwifery at Laurentian U and became a Registered Midwife in 2013.

I spent over seven years practicing in rural Ontario, attending over 400 births, before moving home to NB with my husband and children.

I registered in New Brunswick 2020 and follow the standards of care of the Midwifery Council of NB.

I worked locums in Nunavik Quebec in 2025-2026 until re-regisering in NB.

I am currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Midwifery part time in hopes of being able to teach and train new midwives for NB one day.

I am so excited to caring for NB Families again!

JEM DEGUIRE BHSc

I graduated from McMaster University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Midwifery and since then have been gaining wisdom through experiences learning from babies, birthing people, their supports and my colleagues. I have worked in Southern Ontario, Nunavik, and New Brunswick.

In 2017 I moved onto Wolastoq land in NB to pivot my lifestyle toward off grid homesteading, self sufficiency, and birth work.

Since then I have had 2 little girls.

I have a strong commitment to holding space for folx to navigate their unique journey into parenthood. I equally value supporting colleagues in their irreplaceable work as midwives.

I am always working toward trauma informed, anti-racist and safer care.

I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Counseling.

SHARON MURPHY-MAYNE

Holistic Childbirth & Family Educator

Sharon has helped women have safer and more comfortable births since she first practiced HypnoBirthing in 2004.

Mother and grandmother, Sharon subscribes to the wise woman healing philosophy that celebrates the wisdom of women and their innate connection to nature. Reiki master and theta healing

practitioner, Sharon shares holistic techniques and knowledge that empower mother and her family throughout the child bearing years.
